Decided to skip Monday’s run due to a tight hamstring I’d had since the previous Friday’s run.
Started some new stretching regimes to try and combat strains and improve flexibility. Trying to stretch three times a day.
Wednesday was a lovely day, bit cold, and went out as a group of five from work. Cut short my run as I wasn’t feeling too brilliant, but actually it may have just because the pace was a bit high.
My nutrition went a bit nuts on Wednesday with a burger for lunch, someone brought in Krispy Kreme donuts, then Lindsey talked me into a pizza for dinner. At one point I was pretty sure I could hear my blood sugar level soaring!
Friday went out at lunchtime with Tony and Mark for a steady 10k, pleasantly surprised with our time of 54:38 considering it didn’t feel fast and we had a good chat the whole way around.
Saturday had a bike fit and wetsuit fit at TriSports in Letchworth.
New bike shoes, new pedals as the SPD cleats were a bit sloppy for fast riding. Look Keo classics seem to provide a more stable foot hold. Spent slightly more than I was anticipating, but excellent fitting from Bam at TriSports and saved 20% on a new Orca wetsuit to boot in their sale.
Sunday rose early, although not really early enough, and woke Alex on my way out. $BrowniePoints–
Wanted to complete my Febulous week, after last week failing on runs and distance.
New distance record of 15km, had to have an emergency loo break at the swimming pool, but after that a solid 10km more feeling good.
A good week all said.
